Sep. 22nd, 2004 12:31 pmOver the weekend, Boe and I decided to make some improvements in our lifestyles.
1) I have quit smoking. My doctor told me that with my athsma, if I kept smoking the pack a day I'm used to, I would need oxygen by 40. That's really frightening. And Boe hated it. And I was sick of hating myself every time I lit up. Disappointing the man in my life on a regular basis does not do happy things to our relationship. They (whoever "they" are) say that the first 3 days are the worst; not so. When I'm bored is the worst. Which is why I'm on the computer right now -- I'm fighting a craving.
2) I started doing Pilates and yoga three times a week. My abs are pretty damned sore. No shock there, though. I'd expected to feel uncomfortable the first couple of weeks, since I'm built like the Pillsbury doughboy.
OK, craving has subsided. Now I'm off to color my hair!
