Still flat-felling...
Sep. 28th, 2004 09:22 pm...the seams of the kirtle. The Brave Apparell website is also going to be updated in the next couple of days, but alas! I have no pictures of the kirtle construction, due to the camera/computer problems I mentioned late last week.
I'm definitely going to work on a wool overgown instead of the linen one I had planned; it's frickin' freezing here!
The cats are complaining about their chilly lil paws, and I can't say I blame them -- Boe is just going to have to bite the bullet and accept the fact that his wife cannot live without the furnace on. Just because he's warm all the time, he thinks this weather is perfect; meanwhile, my lips and fingertips are turning purple.
THis will be our first winter in this Victorian (1887) house -- it's definitely a middle-class sort of place, and very welcoming. I'm just not looking forward to heating the SOB in December. Thank God for the gas company's budget plan!
Mental note -- must buy sheepskin slippers. Must also finish kirtle seams.
