I'm gonna regret this tomorrow.
Nov. 20th, 2004 05:08 pmToday is my last day off for the next three weeks, and Boe and I couldn't decide what to do for a shared day off.
I got a wild hair someplace *vastly* uncomfortable, and decided that I wanted to paint the bathroom in the manner of cvirtue's medeivaloid dining room, seen here: http://www.virtue.to/articles/images/home_dining_room.jpg Think cream and dark blue instead of white/royal blue.
Anyway, while I'm painting (and praying that the uber-rickety ladder I'm on stays intact until painting's done) Boe decides he's going to take care of some plumbing problems we've had with our sink. Boe is under the sink, and I'm trying to paint behind our clawfoot tub. I hear a tiny *chink* noise while I'm leaning on the tub, but I pay no attention to it, since Boe's tinkering around under the sink.
Boe can't fix the sink, looks like there's a small hole in one of the pipes, so he's currently off at the hardware store getting an new pipe. Since I can't use the sink, I turn on the tub faucet to wash my hands. I'm leaning into the tub, but oddly enough, my *feet* feel remarkably damp. Well, not *damp*, per se, more like really, really wet. I look at the tub plumbing. *sigh* I broke something. I'm not sure what, but I have to wait until Boe gets home to bring it up and see if we can fix it.
Moral of the story: Never ignore a tiny noise when you're painting. You never know.
