Chinese brocade is a bitch to use a seam ripper on. Ugh.

In other news, I'm almost done (like 99%) with Phil's jacket. This is good, as I still need to get the brocade breastplate done and out of the way before tomorrow.

And then I Will Be Done with this project...

And can get started on Alianore's kirtle -- she's decided that her persona's time period shall be 1460s, so she can wear Burgundian (Maedb, that means the kind of clothes you wear with pointy princess hats ;-) Her kirtle is going to be out of the bajillion yards of navy blue fustian I have lying upstairs in The Stash. So yes, I'm spotting her her first "real" garb, although she'll have to fork over the money for the rest of her garb...I'm using her clothing project as a way of teaching her how to sew; I'm not entirely certain how I became Somerset's Garb Maven, but hey, if it works...

The brocade breastplate is about half done -- I'm quilting it, so it is taking a bit longer than I had anticipated, but everything is going pretty smoothly. Whew!

Except for some tiny handwork (attaching the frogs to the breastplate, and closing the bottom edge of the breastplate, that's all).
