OK, so I was watching the a couple of scenes from House a few minutes ago, and OMGWTFBBQ? House tells Drs. Minion 1, 2, and 3 to get an arterial blood gas sample from the requisite dying patient. Fine and dandy. I'm kinda looking forward to seeing how the fictional phlebots do it, to see how real they can get things on the show.
( And this is where I froth at the mouth about technical details )
Can't they afford an couple of extras on the show!? How much does an extra cost, $75 a day? Stick 'em (no pun intended :-) in a lab coat, get them a quick tutorial by the show's medical advisors, and this phlebot will be much, much happier. I'd even be willing to do it myself, as often as they screw up very simple phlebotomy on this show.
Hells bells, now I'll wind up dreaming about work...maybe I can convince my subconscious to think about Hugh Laurie instead. :-)
