Regency frock DONE!

It's rather stunning how quickly it all came together, considering 1.  I have never put together a Regency dress before, 2. the Simplicity pattern I used actually FIT Mel (usually, I have to tweak the hell out of Simplicity patterns), 3. I didn't finish any of the seams, and 4. I hate gathering.

It looks preeeetty on Mel.  Yes, yes, pictures, I'll try.

Well, that was fun.

I went to the dentist today.  I am 31 years old, have never had a cavity, never had any work done on my mouth with the exception of having my wisdom teeth removed at 19.  I started noticing a dull ache on the left side fo my jaw about a week ago, an ache that hasn't gotten better, and is worse when I chew on that side.  I figured, eh, I have a cavity, no biggie.

I need a root canal.  The cavity was enormous -- fully 1/3 of my molar.  Oh joy.  And 3 fillings elsewhere in my mouth due to itty bitty cavities.  Oh joy oh joy.

My luck just ran out.  Hrmph.
