I had a lovely get-together with ![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
femalegamer, her husband Lucas, her SIL Maria, leggy1979, and a young lady from the ren faire and RHPS cast member Emily. It was low-key at a local (very yummy) restaurant. We had planned to see Wallace and Gromit, but the last showing was at 8 pm. :-(
I'm almost done with my wrap skirt -- the wool I'm using is so delightfully springy! I went with a straight-skirt design, although the inspirational skirt appears to be gored/flared.
Boe handed me some money and asked me to pick up more Halloween decorations -- woo! Halloween is my favorite holiday...better than Christmas because there's no stress about picking out presents. Speaking of presents, I'm trying to figure out what to get Boe and the rest of The Family for Christmas...I think Boe will get A&E's Ivanhoe boxed set, and perhaps some medievaloid stuff. Super-Cute Neice Elena is getting a book and fleece blankie for her birthday, and I'm not sure what to get her for Christmas...maybe make some dress-up clothes? Add some Goodwill purses and costume jewelry, and she'll be good to go. Not to mention, if she gets used to playing dress-up now, imagine what taking her to a ren faire or an event would be like. >:-) My sister Melanie...she's a real stumper. I have No Idea. Bill will get a fleece stadium blanket in his favorite football team motif. My brother Brett will probably get a Best Buy gift card or something such, since he won't be back from Ft. Sam Houston until January. I'm not sure what to get Bitz, my stepmom...perhaps a busted-up heart, since that seems to be what she likes to do to mine all the time. I don't know about Dad either, since he's training up at Ft. Leonard Wood. Mom, I think, will get teh Elizabeth R DVD series. She has the series in VHS, but we've watched it so much the tapes are starting to stretch. Now onto the pets...PJ the parakeet will get a small toy for his cage, maybe a snuggler, Oliver the cat will get a kitty bed and crinkle sack, Pepper the chihuahua will get a fleece blankie.
