My supervisor Barb and coworker Angie are *so* fantastic! Seriously, I'd be willing to walk on hot coals or over broken bottles for the both of them right now. Ok, here's the skinny:
Boe came into the bedroom this morning with the phone in his hand and said, "It's Angie from work. She has a lead on a job for you." Dude, that was the *fastest* I've woken up in a long time. Angie and Barb had seen several new positions listed for the network's Business Health Clinic -- two receptionist positions and a supervisor position. Barb and Angie put in for the supervisor and one receptionist position this morning, and called me so I could apply for the other receptionist position. Barb told me that she wanted her two best receptionists to keep working for her, since she has such a great crew. The job would increase my hours slightly, and have the added benefit of no weekends or holidays. I would also retain the benefits I just got approved for, so I wouldn't have to wait another 3 months for insurance and stuff. My salary would stay the same, as well, so I wouldn't be starting out on the bottom rung.
I love my coworkers.
We've already been informed by the higher-higher-ups that staff at our clinic will receive priority/preference over any other applicants for jobs within the network, which would include the position I just put in for. They would also be willing to keep those positions open until our clinic closes. And Barb told me that we're pretty much shoo-ins for the positions.
Like I said, I love Barb and Angie. They're so awesome.
