He's so fantabulous. We got his extra student loan $$ today on top of a Very Large Paycheck, and all our utilities are now caught up ($355 for the gas company! Eeeeek!). We also hit Wally World and picked up a bunch of minor luxuries we haven't indulged in for a while.
Like a new set of sheets, a new pillow for Boe, a couple of space heaters, and catnip for los ninos. Little quadruped stoners they are. *sigh* I miss those days.
After I made little whimpering noises (only one or two, which is a really subtle hint as far as Boe is concerned) passing the fabric section. He stopped and said, "Pick out whatever you want -- within reason." Kewl. Like I need to be told twice. I scored a couple of yards of black velveteen for my early gable hood. In addition, a bolt of cloth caught my eye. The bolt-end said "100% Cotton," but I'll be damned if it didn't look, act, and feel like a linen blend. $2 a yard, and I picked up 5 yards. I plan to buy more with my next paycheck. It's the fabric for Boe's hosen and doublet. It's this really obnoxiously loud turquoise now, but I plan to dye it dark blue or purple/black at Ye Olde Laundromat tomorrow.
