Silk chiffon is a pain to hem. Honest.
I'm currently working on the attifet. Why? Because I'm procrastinating, that's why. Boe offered me his Elizabethan shirt to wear under the gown Sunday so I wouldn't try to kill myself trying to get the partlet done. So this needs a ruff, cuffs, and attifet, and I'll declare this project done.
Crud...I need a girdle too. There's a thrift shop I know of that sells the chunkiest gold necklaces imaginable...I think I'll pick up about seven or eight and spend Saturday evening fashioning them into a girdle.
(Explanation for train of thought -- I had been digging through The Stash looking for the silk chiffon mentioned above when I came across one of my Christmas presents from Dame Halldora --a tiny handmade girdle book. I'd like to wear the girdle book with this outfit, as I think it'll be a lovely addition. So, I need a girdle.)
