(no subject)

Ooops, I forgot to mention that Her Grace and I documented the making of her Tudor gown with her digital camera and that eventually it will be made into a diary.

This means I'll actually update my website and add more pictures. We also plan to document the birth of my Tudor gown as well, in order to get more stuff of mine out there on the internet.

I plan to finish my Transitional gown this week, and start working on Boe's stuff by next Monday. This gives me slightly over a month to get stuff ready for Val Day.

Fabric purchase and whatnot

Scored 5 1/2 yards of wool crepe in this truly godawful fuschia color at Hancock's. I would have bought more, but it was the last of the bolt, and for $7/yd, how could I say no? I also bought several packets of dark green dye to sadden the color of this stuff a bit so I can use it on my still-theoretical Val Day Tudor.

The good news? We got the W&D today.

The bad news? For some reason, the hot water pipe is leaking, so I can't use hot water in teh washer. Which will make it rather difficult to dye the wool. Sure, i could go to the laundromat, but the last time I used dyes there, I got screamed at. We'll see if Boe can get things fixed by this weekend. Otherwise, Stealth Dyeing will occur at one of the local laundromats...one of the ones that doesn't know me.
