Industrious weekend
Feb. 6th, 2005 07:06 pmCarie and Lucas went to NY, and I got a metric assload of laundry done at their house. Woot!
I hemmed Carrie's Tudor gown, but wasn't able to pattern the stomacher -- I don't know how to figure in the "stretch factor" associated with putting a flat pattern over a curved surface (like, say, Carrie's front). So I'll have to get together with her on Friday to get the stomacher done, and her Tudor will be complete. For headwear, she'll make a wired coif with a flat cap/Tudor bonnet over it, which will make it look quite nicely middle-class.
The Transitional gown will also be done in time for Val Day -- whew! I don't know if the early gable hood will be done in time, since Friday night will be dedicated to finishing Carrie's Tudor, but we'll see.
