Well, it's potentially a dilemma.
OK, so i'm a worrywart for worrying about a *potential* dilemma, but still...
Boe told me tonight that I got a phone call from a person I had an interview with at a local (rival) hospital network. I think the chances are pretty good that they're going to offer me the position for which I interviewed. They offer a daytime shift (4AM to 2:30pm), nice insurance, tuition reimbursement, and I'd be back to doing phlebotomy. But I'd have to wait yet another 90 days to get benefits, which Boe and I really don't want to wait around for. I
I've applied for positions within our clinic's network. I have an interview for several positions within the network scheduled for this week. *If* I am offered a position within the clinic's network, I would get to keep my benefits, which are essentially the same as the other network's. I would also work evenings (which i prefer), but have to work every other weekend. I would remain a receptionist. Like I said, the positions I've applied for *in* our network I haven't even interviewed for yet.
*If* the rival network's phone call is in fact a job offer, I would need to make my decision before my interviews with my home network. Therein lies the dilemma: Should I make my wallet (and therefore husband) happy, in order to ensure a less stressful financial life, or should I be loyal to my super-awesome supervisor/coworkers (who have told me that I am *this ---- close* to being guaranteed a position within my home network, but the pay is not as good as the rival network's).
So...which do I choose?
